Welcome to the racing site for Keith and Leo O’Brien’s racing stable. We are a father and son organization with 70 years of combined experience in horse racing. If you are new to horse racing it’s our hope that you will find pertinent and interesting information relating to our horses and our training philosophy. For those of you who are already racing fans and/or participants we hope to increase your interest and further your success in this magnificent and challenging sport.
Our Philosophy
We believe it is imperative to place the horse first and foremost in one’s training methodology. Each horse within our stable receives attentive and intuitive care. Horses must be addressed as individuals, whereby we can assess their respective ability levels and can then formulate strategies for their racing careers. We believe it is paramount to have both financial and racing strategies. In order to be successful in this respect, it is necessary to have open and respectful communication lines with the horse owners. The horses are the owner’s investment and as such they must be nurtured, educated, and ultimately tested before tackling the rigorous and arduous world of racing.
